Service bay impact paper & ribbons

Service bay printers in automotive shops are impact printers — they use bond paper and ink ribbons, not thermal. The heat and grease environment of a shop floor makes thermal paper unreliable.

Service bay printers use ribbons. If your shop printer has a ribbon cartridge slot, you need bond paper — not thermal. Thermal paper prints blank in an impact printer.
